Congratulations to Argine Safari, 2017 New Jersey State Teacher of the Year and 2018 New Jersey Arts Educator of the Year, and Alpha Chapter member, is one of approximately 35 citizens to be honored with this award through the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. She will be in Finland from January - June, 2019, doing work as a Fulbright scholar. She is not sure of all the details yet as she hasn't received the full packet with information yet. She is planning a global collaborative project between our countries From the official press release: The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to build lasting connections between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. The Fulbright Program is funded through an annual appropriation by the U.S. Congress to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Participating governments and host institutions, corporations, and foundations in foreign countries and the United States also provide direct and indirect support to the Program, which operates in over 160 countries worldwide.
