Professional Growth Stipend

Purpose and Description:
Stipends will be granted to members of Delta Kappa Gamma Alpha Zeta State working individually or as a team in the amount up to $1000.00 per selected application for the following:

Deadlines for submission: December 15 of each year of a DKGNJ biennium and September 1 of the second year of each biennium. All materials should be sent to: The State Stipend Chair 2023-2025, Tracey Holland.
Purpose and Description:
Stipends will be granted to members of Delta Kappa Gamma Alpha Zeta State working individually or as a team in the amount up to $1000.00 per selected application for the following:
- Professional growth
- Personal development
- Research
- Travel related to field
- Educational or community service projects
- Conference attendance related to field
- must be a member in good standing and may apply after the first anniversary of their membership.
- working as a team require only one participant be a member of Delta Kappa Gamma
- will be considered on the basis of their active involvement in the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International commensurate with the length of membership
- should show potential for professional growth and leadership development.
- should clearly explain the worth of professional growth activity.
- are required to provide a follow-up report on awarded activities.
- must submit the appropriate form provided by the State Scholarship Chairwoman.
- must secure two letters of recommendation, one each as follows:personal reference from a person involved with her in the community,reference from someone affiliated with the applicant and can attest to the validity of the professional growth activity
- must provide a statement of contribution to the chapter/state and participation in chapter/state activities.
- must state clearly the rationale of the proposal, including the need, impact and importance of the activity/project. Supportive materials may be attached.
- will clearly present the anticipated outcome/results of the activities/project.
- must submit a detailed timeline of stipend activities.
- must provide a detailed budget outlining the resources necessary to achieve the project goals.
- must reflect the anticipated benefits to professional/personal growth, education profession and Delta Kappa Gamma International.
- may reapply for a professional growth stipend by submitting an updated application.
Successful applicants are required to:
- File a report for inclusion in our state newsletter at the completion of the project to the State Newsletter Chair.
- Submit a formal report including verifications of expenditures to the Stipend Chair: Tracy Holland.
- If appropriate, apply to present a workshop about the project at the DKGNJ Convention.
