DKGNJ Welcomes our International Representative
Candace Martin
DKG International 1st VP
We are excited to welcome Candace (Candi) Martin as our representative from International to the 2025 DKGNJ Convention. Candi is an educator that has a passion for people. I had the pleasure of meeting Candi and her husband at the International Conference in Phoenix, Arizona and was immediately taken by her warmth and amazing personality! Candace Martin is a retired Health and Wellness Educator and a former basketball and track coach. She was inducted into Chi Chapter, Arkansas, in 2002. She has served as chapter, state, and international officers including president at chapter and state levels and at the international level, she has served as US Forum Representative; Membership Committee member; Leadership Development and Golden Gift Committee Chair; Southeast Regional Director; and First Vice President. Candi is a graduate of the 2012 Leadership Management Seminar. She became a registered Parliamentarian through the Eunah Temple Holden Fund in 2009.
Candi and husband, Ed, have two adult daughters. Hattie is a Consumer Insights Director for Nike and lives in Portland, OR. Hannah and her husband, Cole own and operate Elevate Digital Design Co. which they started in 2019 when COVID began. Greyson is Candi’s 8-year-old grandson and her only grandchild. In her leisure time, Candi enjoys playing golf, solving puzzles, watching the Razorbacks, traveling, learning new things, and spending time with family.
Candi says that DKG has been one of the greatest gifts of her life. “I have met some of the most amazing women from around the world in DKG. When I consider the impact that they have had on our world, it truly boggles my mind. The futures that have been influenced by these educators cannot be overstated. I am sincerely humbled to be associated with this wonderful group of leading women educators who definitely impact education worldwide.”
Candi is a positive, reflective, and enthusiastic leader. She loves humor and its power to change attitudes. Please take the opportunity to say, “hello and welcome to our newest “Jersey Girl!”
