DKGNJ Arts & Humanities Festival
DKGNJ Convention Arts & Humanities Festival 2024The DKGNJ Arts & Humanities Committee would like to provide our members an opportunity to share their special talents & interests through the creation of The State Convention Arts & Humanities Festival.
The festival will take place on Saturday, April 13th, in the large hallway by the hotel ballrooms. This light and airy location will be ideal for sisters to gather to enjoy the event!
Showcasing for this event may include artwork (ie. pottery, painting, textiles, photography, crafts), literature (ie. poetry, essays), as well as musical performance. Artwork will not be judged, but will be included as part of a showcase for sisters to share their art. Work submitted must be original (not from kits), one-of-a-kind, and creative. All 2-D pieces must be matted or framed, including written works.
As the hotel facility will not allow for hanging of artwork, tables will be provided for items to be displayed. Please provide a table-top stand or easel for framed pieces and textiles. Unfortunately we can not accommodate pieces larger than 3x3.
Musical performances can accommodate 1-3 performers at a time. Musicians will need to provide music stands as needed. Acoustic performances will be preferred, as amplification will not be provided.
Please note that submissions will not be accepted that violate the Society's position on inclusivity (religion, race, sexual orientation/gender, etc.).
Please bring your submissions to the ballroom hallway on Saturday, April 13th between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Pick-up will take place 4:20-4:45 the same day.
Please complete this Google Form by March 15, 2024. You will receive a copy of your submission upon completion of the form.
We look forward to enjoying the arts festival with you!
