The state meeting scheduled for Saturday, September 9 will be held in person at Steinert High School in Hamilton.

Dear Members of the Executive Committee, Committee Chairs and Chapter Presidents,

Welcome to the beginning of our 2023-2025 biennium.  The Executive Board met this past Friday evening and are excited to share our vision with you.  I am really looking forward to seeing all of you at our state meeting at Steinert High School on Saturday, September 9th.  
The following documents are attached to this email.  Please note that there will be very limited copies of the agenda available at the state meeting.                   Attached are the following:

• Agenda for the State Executive Committee Meeting (9/5/23)
• The DKG-NJ Phone Chain (passworded)
• DKG-NJ  Executive Committee and Committee Chairs List (9/5/23)
• Minutes from the 2023 NJ State Convention   
• Minutes from the June Portfolio Exchange Meeting 
• Treasurer's Report
• Deposits and Disbursements
• Designated Funds
• Chapter Convention Assignments

It is essential for chapter presidents to contact their chapter members/chairs to attend the scheduled state committee meetings.  A representative may be sent on their behalf as a substitute if needed.  An agenda for the Chapter President's meeting will be sent to the Chapter Presidents next week.                                              As a reminder, the following state committees will be meeting:

• Chapter Presidents
• Program Planning/EEC
• Membership
• Convention
• Communications (Newsletter, Webmasters & Social media)
• Rules and Bylaws / Parliamentarians
• Necrology
• Scholarship - not meeting after all!  Last minute change.

Here are a few important things to remember:

• State committee chairs who are holding meetings are reminded to submit their meeting agendas to me by September 1st.  
• All committee reports are to be submitted to Chris Musick by email (cmusickdkg@gmail.com) either before the meeting or no later than one week after the meeting.  The form for these reports can be found on the state website under Leadership Links > State documents.  
• If you plan to make a motion at the state meeting, please submit the motion both to me and Chris Musick by September 4th.  
• Any proposed changes to our State Rules and Bylaws or Standing Rules should be submitted to Dr. Barbara Glazewski (docgslp@aol.com) or Dawn Flanders (dawnpt140@yahoo.com) by September 1st using the appropriate forms found on our state website under Leadership Links > State documents. Snail mail documents must be received by Barbara or Dawn by August 31st. 

Too many dates to remember, so you may want to do all of the above (as needed) by September 1st and you'll be covered!
