Enclosed is the preliminary draft of the proposed bylaws, recommended by the Revision Task Force and presented during the December 2025 Inside International. All members are encouraged to carefully review the draft and share any suggestions, recommendations, concerns, or questions with the Revision Task Force no later than 11:59 PM Central Time on January 5, 2026. Your feedback is crucial and will help shape the final draft of the proposed bylaws, to be presented for adoption at the 2026 International Convention in Aurora, Colorado. For your convenience, the summation notes from the December Inside International, where the preliminary draft was introduced, are attached. Open all year. Educators Book Award- DKG honors a women author whose book is impactful for educators or for readers who consider education vital for our future. Thought provoking ideas, new concepts, and an appealing style are all considered when choosing the Educators Book Award. Submit your favoritequote/mantra/motivational saying for publication on DKG social media to encourage & empower your fellow DKG members. Open all year. Visionary Networks- Any member may join professional interest groups on Zoom, usually meeting monthly/session. You may also apply and lead a session within your expertise. Group Types: Personal Enrichment such as Roses of Hope- a breast cancer survivor support group, photography, Zentangles, family caregivers, and wellness. Professional Development such as Helpful hints being an Executive Secretary/Editor, building resilience, and AI for education. Society Business such as Exploring Visionary SEE (Supporting Early Educators). Registration is required to join a session. Scholarship Recipients- DKG awards thousands of dollars to members earning graduate or doctoral degrees. Recipients of these valuable scholarships followed the application process detailed on the DKG website. Students earning a Master’s Degree may be awarded $6,000 and students earning their PhD may be awarded $10,000. Since 1940, 5.6 million dollars have been awarded to over 1,100 members. Karen Evans, Scholarship Committee Chair, on behalf of the Scholarship Committee, announced that eleven members were selected as scholarship recipients for the 2025 – 2026 academic year. $98,000 in awards were awarded; eight awards to doctoral degree candidates, and three awards to master/post-grad studies students. Due by February 1, 2026, awarded annually. World Fellowship- List of recipients divided and given to each chapter president by our State World Fellowship Chair, Gail Starr (Omicron Chapter) Personal greetings from DKGNJ members encouraged. Keep contact information of the recipients private and secure. DKG Ignite Application (LMS)- Selected applicants will receive a grant covering the full cost of seminar participation, valued at approximately $8,000. This includes round-trip transportation, university accommodations, meals during the seminar, and full tuition for the training program. Opens July 1 every other year (odd years) Girl Scout Project-

Please complete our brief survey so that we can highlight all DKG does to support educators. The DKG International Educational Excellence Committee invites all chapters to join our Centennial Challenge. Our founders set forth to create an honor society for women educators. We are guided by our founding purposes to unite and honor women educators and to advance the professional interest and position of women in education. Our schools and the educators who work there face numerous challenges as DKG turns 100 years old. We in DKG stand ready to help educators navigate these difficult times.
