I hope you are well. I am attaching information about the Portland Conference for you to share with your members. Barb Clausen and Janis Barr appreciate you doing this.
Your San Antonio Conference Steering Committee is continuing to plan for a face to face conference. However, a final decision will be made at the Administrative Board Meeting May 13-15, 2021.
Please remind your members to bring books to the conference to be donated to four organizations in San Antonio. The committee prefers hard copies of books if possible. If members prefer they are welcome to send a gift card (VIsa, Amazon, etc) to

As we look ahead to summer, and hopefully the ability to “be together” again, our Regional Directors, Janis Barr and Barbara Clausen, along with our steering committee have been working hard to prepare an exciting 2021 International Conference. As part of the planned conference activities, Karen and I would like to share a DKG opportunity with you. We are looking forward to the DKG Marketplace during the 2021 International Conference at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Hotel on July 7-10. We would like to extend an invitation for your state organization or any of your chapters to participate.
The Marketplace will be a two-day event held on Friday and Saturday, July 9-10 2021. It is a wonderful opportunity for your state organization or your chapters to exhibit various projects or sell a variety of items that help support your wide array of worthy projects. As a vendor or exhibitor the cost of the 6' table rentals, internet access and Marketplace hours are included on the application. Hired security will cover the Marketplace when it is closed. Please be aware that any food items must be commercially prepared.
Applications are due by April 15, 2021. This application is also available on the DKG website www.dkg.org under events. Once approved by the administrative board, you will receive further details. You are welcome to stay at the Marriott, the conference hotel, with a room rate of $194.00. You can make your reservation directly though the Society website www.dkg.org under events.
In addition to submitting an application, we are also extending an opportunity to advertise in the program booklet. Should you wish to purchase a program booklet ad please contact Darlene Cook, firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Please take the time to share this information. We have a limited number of tables available.
Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you in Portland.
